IDE Integrations

Deprecation Notice: Mend Advise Code for JETBRAINS is no longer maintained or updated. It is planned to be superseded by a new plugin in May 2026 and deprecated soonthereafter.

A set of integrations based within the IDE UI alerting developers on vulnerable open source components, malicious packages and weakness detection while coding, negating the need to switch between applications or wait until they’ve committed the code.

The IDEs currently supported for SCA (Dependencies) are:

• Eclipse (Mend Advise for Eclipse)

• GitHub CodeSpaces (Mend Advise for GitHub CodeSpaces)

• IntelliJ IDEA (Mend Advise for IntelliJ IDEA)

• PyCharm (Mend Advise for PyCharm)

• Visual Studio (Mend Advise for Visual Studio)

• Visual Studio Code (Mend Advise for Visual Studio Code)

• WebStorm (Mend Advise for WebStorm)

The IDEs currently supported for SAST (Code) are:

• JetBrain IDEs (IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm and WebStorm)
