The Plugin Policy Violation History Report

Overview

The Plugin Policy Violation History Report provides a history of update plugin requests that had policy violations.

Accessing the Report

  1. From the main menu, select Reports > Plugin Policy Violation History. The Plugin Policy Violation History Report is displayed.

  2. If you want to filter the report, do as follows:

    1. Expand the Filter area, select a property from the By dropdown menu, and enter the Value by which to filter.
      The property options are: Time (default), Agent, IP Address and Product.

    2. Click Filter.

The Plugin Policy Violation History Report is generated displaying the plugin requests and their policy violations, according to any requested filters.

Understanding the Report Data

The Plugin Policy Violation History Report displays two panes that display information about the plugin requests and their policy violations:

Plugin Requests

The following information is displayed in the left pane for each plugin request:

  • Time: Date and time the plugin request was made

  • Requested by: Name of the user that initiated the request

  • IP Address: If relevant, the IP address of the computer on which the request was made

  • Agent: Name of the Agent that ran the request

  • Product: Name of the product in which the request was made

Policy Violations

For each plugin request, the right pane lists details of the policy violations, including the direct and transitive dependencies for each library and its licenses.

Exporting the Report

To export the report, click the Export dropdown menu at the top right corner of the report, and select the required export format:

  • Excel

  • XML

The exported report will reflect the selected scope and filters.
