Overview
The Mend Developer Platform is part of the Mend Developer Integrations, aimed at integrating paid Mend functionality and free Renovate functionality with your source code repositories.
This comprehensive solution is designed to manage security and dependency health within the context of SCM, providing users with a seamless and unified experience.
Mend Developer Platform provides the following benefits to you and your development team:
Shift left: Scanning your repositories with Mend Developer Platform helps you shift farther left in your software development life cycle (SDLC).
Simplified Configuration: With our intuitive UI, configuration tasks are streamlined for effortless management. Guided by helpful tooltips, users can manage integration settings seamlessly, even without extensive technical knowledge, simplifying their workflow.
Improved Troubleshooting: Access comprehensive logs directly within the UI for efficient issue diagnosis and resolution. Enhanced visibility and diagnostic tools ensure a smoother integration experience.
Feedback on demand: Developers receive feedback on their code right away, making it easier to remediate vulnerabilities and learn secure coding best practices.
Differential results: Developers are notified only when a pull request introduces new findings, reducing alert fatigue and making fixes available as soon as vulnerabilities are introduced.
Automated remediation: Security vulnerabilities can be automatically remediated based on recommended fixes.
Supported Source Code Management (SCM) Tools
The Mend Developer Platform currently has support for Bitbucket Cloud (Mend SCA, Mend SAST, and Mend Renovate), Azure DevOps Repos (Mend SCA, Mend SAST, and Mend Renovate), and GitHub.com (Mend Renovate only).
Note: On the Mend Dev Platform, you can connect multiple source code management (SCM) systems to a single Mend organization. This allows you to manage repositories across different platforms, such as GitHub organizations, GitLab groups, and Bitbucket teams, under the same Mend organization.
